Meizu MX Quad-core

The company Meizu announced today a quad-core version of its flagship product. Smartphone Meizu MX after tuning of the processor will be available in June. It promises to be the first commercially available Exynos A9 in a smartphone.

The Meizu MX Quad Core uses a power efficient quad-core Exynos A9 CPU with industry-leading 32 nm HKMG technology which has been optimized to reduce CPU power consumption by up to 20%.

Besides the processor there will also be exchanged a battery. A new battery has a capacity of 1700 mAh. It's little more than the 1600 mAh in the basic version, but in combination with optimized power consumption should give very good results.

Two additional cores should ensure that the processor is faster by 60%, and the video card by 50%. This means smoother operation and better graphics processing in games, but also watching a video in 1080p.

Meizu smartphone comes with a vivid 292 PPI high definition ASV display. The device has has an 8 megapixel BSI camera with an f/2.2 lens aperture. The phone will come with unique Flyme OS based on Android 4.0 ICS.

The sale will include two versions of Meizu MX: with 32 and 64 GB respectively for 2999 yuan (365 euro) and 3999 yuan (487 euro). Smartphone will be available only in China and Hong Kong.
