The Korean operator SK Telecom announces the introduction to its offer a new and improved variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The model marked SHV-E470S pretty much differs from the original, although it looks virtually the same.
The list of changes may not be devastatingly long, but it contains enough key elements that are worth mentioning. The phone receives a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, which replaced Snapdragon 600. SHV-E470S will support LTE-Advanced connectivity, it will also have the internal memory expanded to 32 GB. It will also have an improved camera (now a 13-megapixel), and there will be also DMB programs receiver. Other elements (such as a display or battery) will remain the same as in the original S4 Active. The housing will not change - still it will provide increased strength and the only difference will be the opportunity to purchase a smartphone in white. For now, there is no information about the availability of this (or similar modernized) variant outside Korea.
