MediaTek processors compete on the market with main units of much more famous manufacturers. They compete successfully, because they are cheaper and often just as effective, and in the case of MT6595 - spectacularly efficient.
At the MediaTek press conference in Shenzhen AnTuTu benchmark showed in the case of MediaTek MT6595 CPU score 47233 points. Is this any competition for Qualcomm processors? Yes! The only chance for Snapdragons to catch up with the Taiwanese speed demon, it is likely these few months to implement the MT6595 for mass production.
There naturally appear questions: in what device the 8-core processor MediaTek was tested, how efficient is heat dissipation and when is the launch of the first devices equipped with this unit?

There is no need however to ask for further details of the specification. MediaTek MT6595 is based on the ARM "big.LITTLE" architecture with four high-performance Cortex-A17 cores and four more economical Cortex-A7 cores. The processor supports different varieties of LTE networks, displays the resolution 2560x1600 pixels (WQXGA), and the refresh rate is up to 120 Hz. Additionally there are 20-megapixel camera matrices. It has on board 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth version 4.0 LE, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS Galileo &) and ANT+. It also enables you to record and playback video in Ultra HD using H.265 codec. The maximum clock frequency for the system is 2.2 GHz.
Truly a monster. As long as I do not get it into the hands in a smartphone, I may not believe it. (jf)
