On Wednesday afternoon, in London there was the official launch of the Russian smartphone Yotaphone 2. The device, presented for the first time at this year's MWC will soon be available for sale at a price of approx. 33 thousand rubles.
Yotaphone 2 is one of the most unusual smartphones in the world. At the front it has a classic AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 5 inches and FullHD resolution, and at the back we find an additional e-ink screen with a diagonal of 4.7 inches and a resolution of 540x960 pixels.

If you use only the additional screen, the operation time may be up to five days - using 2500mAh battery. It can be recharged wirelessly. A similar solution was found in the previous Yota model, but only in the second generation it lived to see the improved interface and more dedicated applications, which can also be created by independent developers.

The new smartphone differs from the old one with a slightly different shape – it is more rounded. In the device we can find - in accordance with the requirements of our time - LTE connectivity and NFC, as well as a quad-core Snapdragon 800 supported by 2 GB of RAM. The phone also has a built-in 32 GB memory, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2.1-megapixel front webcam. Both screens protects Gorilla Glass 3.

The smartphone will be available in Europe, but the price is high. It is 700 euro. On its debut day in London there was opened the shop of the company Yota Devices. In the UK the price of the phone is 555 pounds.
