During the conference in Beijing, ZTE unveiled a new model B880, which we know from earlier leaks. It is a smartphone targeted at younger customers, equipped with colour covers and a multi-functional biometric scanner.
That scanner was placed on the back of the device, below the camera lens. The scanner can of course be used to protect the data on a phone, but it can also be used to trigger the camera shutter, receive calls, or we can assign it yet another desired function - eg. to run applications and perform screenshots.

The heart of the phone is a 1.3 GHz quad-core MTK MT6735 processor supported by a gigabyte of RAM. The phone is supplied with a 13-megapixel camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera, and 8 GB of memory, which can be increased by a 32 GB microSD card. ZTE B880 supports LTE networks in DualSIM mode, also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. We will also find an FM radio, and a battery capacity is 2400 mAh. B880 display measures 5 inches and has a resolution of 720p. The smartphone can be bought in China for 700 yuan, which gives approx. $ 115. For now, unfortunately, we do not know whether this model will be offered outside of China.
