Although no one saw it coming, working under the supervision of Tizen Samsung Z1 made a considerable success: in six months it found more than a million buyers. It is not surprising therefore that the Korean company is going with the flow and preparing new models on this platform.
In recent days appeared the first information on Samsung SM-Z300H, which will probably hit the market under the name Z3. It will be - similarly as Z1 – the model intended for so-called emerging markets. Z3 is to be affordable - and will debut in the next few months.
According to unofficial data, Samsung Z3 will use the system Tizen 2.4 and will be equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. The heart of the device is a 1.3 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor, supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. On board there will be also 8GB of internal memory and flash media, a microSD slot and two cameras. The front will have a matrix of 5 megapixels, and the rear is an 8-megapixel, equipped with autofocus and LED flash. Both matrices are to have a size of 1/4 inch. The housing with dimensions of 141,5x70x9,5 mm and weighing 140 grams, also fits a battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh. As for a mobile for developing countries, Z3 is expected to support two SIM cards. It is not known whether it will have the LTE module...
