Who dreamed of a smartphone, which entire front panel is a display? Xiaomi fulfills this dream by presenting during the launch of Mi Note 2 the smartphone Mi MIX. Well, almost: somewhere, after all you need to fit the front camera.
Xiaomi presented during the today's launch not only Mi Note 2 and the virtual reality goggles, but also a conceptual model of the smartphone, which front is almost entirely occupied by the display. Mi MIX – this is the name of the novelty - is to have a 6.4-inch edgeless display. It gives an impressive rate of 91.3% compared with the size of the display on the front panel, which any other smartphone can boast with.

The place occupied by the module of the front camera was reduced. The camera was moved further down, but those who have become accustomed to the camera at the top will not be disappointed: cooperation of the camera with a sensor position allows to invert the smartphone before taking a selfie.
Instead of a standard proximity sensor based on infrared Xiaomi announces in Mi MIX a sensor based on an ultrasonic echolocation. The whole housing designed by Philippe Starck is to be ceramic.

Mi MIX is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of flash memory. It is to be powered by a battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0. The sound chip will offer users HD audio quality, 192kHz/24-bit resolution. The rear camera with a dual-color LED flash is equipped with a matrix of 16 megapixels, and under it you can find a fingerprint reader.
The smartphone will work in LTE Cat.6, which is the maximum speed of 300 Mbps download, 50 Mbps when sending data. I also should mention the full support of NFC and SAP GPS.
