We start with the most interesting, the iPhone X. It received a characteristic display, called Super Retina Display. It was made in OLED technology, the screen measures 5.8 inches and has a resolution of 2436x1125 pixels, giving an impressive density factor of 458 ppi. The display is equipped with a touch panel 3D Touch, as well as technologies Dolby Vision and HDR10. The display achieves an impressive contrast ratio (probably dynamic) - 1000000: 1. The iPhone X has been equipped (like the iPhone 8 Plus) with a dual camera. It has a 12 megapixel resolution matrix, both with optical image stabilization. Lenses have f/1.8 and f/2.4 focal lengths and the camera supports a four-piece LED flash.
The front, 7 megapixel (f/2.2) camera of iPhone X is also advanced - but its main role is to protect the phone. The facial recognition system, apart from the camera, uses a number of sensors, including the infrared projector. Thanks to that, Face ID works even in the dark, it is not sensitive to changing hairstyles or faces. Face ID also works with Apple Pay and third-party applications, such as banking. The dimensions of the phone are 143.6x70.9x7.7 mm and the weight is 174 g. The price of the iPhone X is 999 and 1149 dollars, and the delivery is scheduled from November 3. You can choose between two versions of internal memory - 64 and 256 GB - and two colours - Silver and Space Gray.
The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are less impressive models. The front is reminiscent of previous generations, but fortunately the glass has returned to the rear just like in the iPhone X. And along with the glass comes the wireless charging option - the popular Qi standard. The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus have the same processor as the iPhone X - the six-core A11 Bionic, similar versions of memory - 64 and 256 GB. The iPhone 8 has a 4.7" screen and a resolution of 1334x750 pixels, while the iPhone 8 Plus features 5.5" Full HD screen. Both displays are IPS Retina matrices.
The iPhone 8 has a regular 12 megapixel camera with a f/1.8 lens. The iPhone 8 Plus is a dual-camera model - but still with 12 megapixels. However, the camera is slightly different than in the iPhone X - it has lenses with f/1.8 and f/2.8 brightness. As far as movie recording is concerned, all three new iPhones have similar, good features - 4K at 60 fps and 240 frames in FullHD. It is similar with the front camera - 7 megapixels, f/2.2. In all new models we also find LTE-A connectivity, dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The iPhone 8 costs (depending on memory) 699 or 849 dollars, while the iPhone 8 Plus - 799 or 949 dollars. There are three colours available: silver, graphite and gold. All this year's iPhones meet the requirements of the IP67 certificate.
Apple's novelties range has been complemented by the 3rd generation Apple Watch. The device has not changed its appearance or dimensions, but it now has a built-in e-SIM card and the ability to operate independently of the smartphone, including voice calls. Apple Watch also received a new dual-core processor, GPS module and new strip designs. A lot of changes will also appear in the software. New applications will be available for swimmers or snowboarders as well as new applications for the heart rate monitor. It will detect heart rhythm disturbances, inform the user about this, and also provide some information to scientists to support their heart disease research. The Watch with LTE module costs from $ 399 and without it - from 329.
