Xiaomi did not wait too long and today presented a remake of the Redmi Note 8 model. Will Redmi Note 8 (2021) repeat the success of its predecessor?
The Redmi Note 8 model has sold over 25 million copies, so it is not surprising that Xiaomi decided to give it the second life. The new model is practically identical to its predecessor. It has a 6.3-inch display with Full HD+ resolution with a droplet notch for a 13-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0) and Gorilla Glass 5 glass. On the back of the phone we can see a characteristic pattern. There is also a vertical, narrow camera frame with a main matrix of 48 Mpx, an 8-megapixel wide-angle module (f/2.2, 120 degrees) and two 2 Mpx cameras (f/2.4) for macro and background blurring.

Redmi Note 8 (2021) powers a 4000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging, but the set will include a more powerful 22.5 W charger. This year's model, however, has a different processor than the previous one. In place of the Snapdragon 665, the MediaTek Helio G85 chip was used. It is supported by 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and memory for eMMC 5.1 data with a capacity of 64 or 128 GB. There was a minijack or an infrared transmitter, and everything is managed by Android 11 with the MIUI 12.5 interface. The price has not been announced yet.
