Xiaomi today introduced the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones. To start with, we got to know four models: Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Racing and Redmi Note 12 Pro+, as well as the cheapest, base Redmi Note 12 5G. The tablet Redmi Pad also had its Chinese premiere, which we have already tested.
The launch of the Redmi Note 12 series took place in China and unfortunately the smartphones mentioned will be available there. They will come to Europe later, possibly only in the first quarter of next year. What's more, they will probably have poorer - compared to Chinese - specifications. But let's leave the black thoughts and set out to explore new models. What do they offer?

Redmi Note 12 5G
Basic Redmi Note 12 5G is the least intriguing of the news, based on the Snapdragon 4 gen 1 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memories. This smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging, and also has a minijack or an infrared transmitter. The OLED display of this model has a diagonal of 6.67 inches, Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1200 nits. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is mounted in the screen hole. On the back of the housing there is a 48-megapixel camera accompanied by a 2 Mpx macro unit, and the whole was priced at:

Redmi Note 12 Pro
Redmi Note 12 Pro is a smartphone equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 10-bit color palette and refresh rates: image 120 Hz and 240 Hz touch. The screen is Dolby Vision and HDR10 + certified and has a brightness of up to 900 nits. The heart of this model is the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memories and cooled by a heat sink with an area of 2,000 mm. The smartphone is also equipped with, among others in a side fingerprint reader, infrared transmitter, stereo speakers, mini-jack, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 or X-axis vibration. The power supply is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with 67-watt charging. In the photographic part we have a 16-megapixel selfie camera, as well as a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS stabilization, a matrix size of 1/1.56 "and single pixels of 2 micrometers. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel camera. to macro The prices and memory variants are as follows:

Redmi Note 12 Pro+
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is the "middle" model in the series. Like Redmi Note 12 Pro, it works on Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface, has a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD + screen and a Dimensity 1080 processor along with LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memories, but with a larger cooling system: 3,000 .mm.kw. The main camera has also been changed in relation to the Pro model. A 200-megapixel Samsung HPX matrix with a size of 1/1.1 "and pixels size of 2.24 micrometers was used, of course with optical OIS stabilization. The rest of the equipment is similar to the Pro. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and charges with a power of 120 W. To there are two memory versions to choose from:

Redmi Note 12 Racing (Yibo) and Discovery (Explorer, 210W)
Redmi Note 12 Racing (or Note 12 Yibo) it's just aggressively colored Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Technically - the same. In turn, classically black Redmi Note 12 Discovery (which, depending on the translation, you can also find under the names Note 12 Explorer or Redmi Note 12 210W) is a much more interesting model, equipped with a smaller battery (4300 mAh ), but it charges really fast and with really high power: 210 W. As for the other equipment - it is the same as the Pro +, although slightly lighter. The price list is as follows:

Redmi Pad
Although it is a bit surprising, along with the Redmi Note 12 series, the tablet Redmi Pad also debuted in China, and it will soon hit stores. We've even tested it already:

Redmi Pad is a slim tablet with a slim body (7mm thick), offered in three colors: graphite, gray and green. The tablet has an LCD screen with a diagonal of 10.61 inches, a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display offers a brightness of up to 400 nits, a 10-bit color palette, and a 1500: 1 contrast ratio. The tablet works on the basis of the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memory. The internal memory can be expanded with a microSD card. The advantage of the tablet are four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the list of equipment is completed by two 8-megapixel cameras: the rear one with autofocus, and the front one with a wide-angle lens with a field of view of 105 degrees. The power supply is provided by an 8000 mAh battery with 18-watt charging, and the entire device weighs 445 g. Prices in China are:
