New models of smartphones from HMD Global - Nokia C110 and Nokia C300 - went on sale in the United States.
Low-end smartphones are not losing their popularity - at least that's what some manufacturers suggest. Two new smartphones hit US stores, both costing less than $150. What can they be proud of?
Nokia C110 is the more modestly equipped of the two models - it is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by 256 GB with a microSD card. The main 13 Mpx camera and the 5 Mpx front camera in a drip notch will be used for photos. The battery of the Nokia C110 has a capacity of 3000 mAh and is rechargeable at 5 W, and its 6.3-inch LCD screen offers HD+ resolution.
Nokia C300 has a similar, albeit 6.52-inch display, as well as the memory set and main camera identical to the Nokia C110. Both phones also have the Android 12 operating system, minijack input and partial IP52 tightness. The island of Nokia C300 cameras looks quite rich for a budget device, but you can't expect miracles - next to the main 13 Mpx camera we have a 2 Mpx depth sensor and a 2 Mpx macro camera. The selfie camera is a bit better - in this model it has 8 Mpx. The battery is also noticeably better, although it still does not give reasons for delight - its capacity is 4000 mAh, and it can be charged with a power of 10 W. The whole thing is complemented by a slightly more efficient Snapdragon 662 processor.
Nokia C110 is $99 in the US and Nokia C300 is $139. Within a month, they will also be offered by American operators. They don't look bad, but even at this price you can find smartphones with better specifications... and for people with minimal requirements, a classic mobile phone can be a practical alternative.
