ZTE Nubia Z50S Pro has just been launched and a third colour variant has been added at the last minute.

The first two variants present a serious look of the camera with a protruding camera lens and a rough finish imitating leather. The third option was inspired by ice, and there is an iridescent ring on the camera island.

Regardless of your preferred look, all three variants highlight the camera as the phone's highlight. It is a 1G+6P lens with a wide f/1.59 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS) and a fairly large 50 Mpx sensor with a size of 1/1.49 inches.

In addition, the phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera that has a 13mm focal length lens (125° viewing angle, f/2.0 aperture) and also functions as a macro camera, as it can focus from just 2.5 cm (1 inch). If you want to take a photo from a distance, there is an 80 mm telephoto lens (OIS, f/2.4 aperture) with a 16 Mpx sensor.

On the front of the device, the Z50S Pro has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels (452 ppi, 20:9). It is a 10-bit panel with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and supports both DC dimming and PWM dimming at 2,160Hz.

The brain of the phone is the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chip, the version with a main core clocked at 3.36GHz and a reinforced GPU unit. This chipset stays cooled with a massive 4,233mm² steam chamber. When it comes to power, the phone runs on a 5,100mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging. According to ZTE, with moderate use, you can squeeze out of the battery just over 37 hours. In power saving mode, a 5% charge is enough for 6 hours of standby time or a 30-minute connected WeChat call.

Z50S Pro can be pre-ordered in China starting today, the product is available on ZTE Mall. Open sales will start on July 27.

Various versions are available, starting with a 12/256GB configuration for CNY 3,700 ($515/€460). Other configurations are 12GB/1TB and up to 16GB/1TB. It should be noted that the white version is slightly more expensive, costing CNY 100 more than its black or khaki counterparts.
