A few days ago, Huawei presented two new flagship smartphones - the best-equipped model in the Mate 60 series and the successor to the foldable Mate X3, apart from the unlucky number four.
Huawei Mate 60 Pro+
The manufacturer has not yet revealed what exact processor powers the new Mate 60, but we can assume that we are dealing with the Chinese Kirin 9000s. However, it is known that Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ offers more RAM than Huawei Mate 60 and Huawei Mate 60 Pro - we have 16 GB RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of internal memory, expandable Nano Memory card for an additional 256 GB.
As in the case of the Pro model, Mate 60 Pro+ is equipped with a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen, but this time with a higher resolution - 1260x2720 px. The display also offers 10-bit color, variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, 300 Hz touch sampling and 1440 Hz PWM dimming. It is protected against damage by Kunlun Glass 2, and the whole thing is dust- and waterproof at the IP68 level. The battery still has a capacity of 5000 mAh and offers 80 W charging via USB-C, 50 W inductive charging and 20 W reverse charging. The smartphone also offers NFC and an infrared transmitter, only 5G Huawei is missing, as usual, despite ongoing efforts in this matter...

The cameras of the new model look similar to the Mate 60 Pro - on the back there is a 48 Mpx main camera with a variable aperture and a 48 Mpx telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and on the front there is a 13 Mpx selfie camera and two 3D Time sensors. Of-Flight. The wide-angle camera is better, this time offering 40 Mpx. Satellite communication has also been improved - in addition to two-way text communication via Beidou, Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ will also allow voice calls via Tiantong satellites. It is not yet known what kind of fees this service will involve.
At the moment, the exact price of Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is also unknown, although you can already pay a deposit of 1,000 yuan (about $135) to become one of the first owners. Ultimately, the smartphone will hit stores on October 9, and leaks suggest that its price will be 9,000 yuan, or about $ 1,230.
Huawei Mate X5
The new foldable smartphone also offers several innovations and many familiar elements. Inside, it still features a 7.85-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2224 x 2496 pixels, while on the outside, there's a 6.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2504 pixels protected by Kunlun glass. In addition to the four known colors from the previous model, a new Phantom Purple color has been added, and the camera island has also undergone a change... albeit only visual. The Huawei Mate X5 once again features a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP wide-angle lens, and a 12 MP telephoto lens with five-fold optical zoom.

The processor probably remains unchanged, but it is accompanied by more memory - 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of internal memory in the best-equipped variant. The battery has become more capacious - in the new model it has 5060 mAh. Again, it can be charged at 66W or 50W wirelessly, and you can also charge other devices with 7.5W reverse charging. Huawei Mate X3 also offers IPX8 tightness and two-way satellite communication via Beidou, and thanks to the new antenna design, it will also connect better to terrestrial networks. Just like the Mate 60 Pro+, the Huawei Mate X3 is already available for pre-order, and we will likely know its price on September 15th when its actual sales begin.
