For some time we have been following the development of Xiaomi's first electric car. Now the manufacturer has presented SU7 and SU7 Max officially, revealing many technical parameters.
SU stands for Speed Ultra, so you can expect impressive speed. This is especially impressive in the SU7 Max model, with four-wheel drive and a dual engine with a total power of 673 horsepower, or 495 kW. Its maximum torque is 838 Nm, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.78 seconds, making it superior to the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Model S in this category. Its 101 kWh battery allows it to travel 800 kilometers. , and according to the manufacturer, 5 minutes of charging will extend the journey by 220 km, and 15 minutes will provide an additional 510 km. The base SU7 model, in turn, has rear-wheel drive with 299 horsepower and torque, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.28 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

SU7 also resembles the popular Porsche and Tesla models in terms of dimensions - it is 4,997 mm long, 1,963 mm wide and 1,455 mm high. Its special feature is the record-low aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.195 Cd. The SU7 Smart Cockpit is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor and a 16.1-inch main display with 3K resolution. Two Nvidia Orin X systems with a total computing power of 508 TOPS are responsible for intelligent control.
Lei Jun, president of Xiaomi, has high expectations for new cars and plans to conquer the market of intelligently controlled electric cars in 2024. His long-term plans are even more ambitious - within the next 15 or 20 years, Xiaomi would be among the 5 largest car manufacturers in the world. The new SU7 models are a good first move in this direction, although it is still unknown when they will go on sale and at what price.
