Tecno has already shown a lot of interesting new products at MWC 2024, but it left something else for the second day of the fair - the announcement of a smartphone with the PolarAce imaging system.
The imaging system combines Lytia hardware capabilities with the Sony CXD5622GG camera chip to enable 4K video recording at 30 FPS with HDR for the first time. Its special feature is also the Universal Tone system developed by Tecno, which distinguishes between 268 skin tones of photographed people to reflect them in the photos as naturally as possible. The system also offers advanced AI capabilities, allowing you to remove unwanted objects from the frame with one click, or generate completely different clothes on the photographed person.

The new technology will debut in the Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G smartphone, which can be expected to be released in the second quarter of 2024. The main camera will be the Sony IMX890 matrix known, among others, from OnePlus 12R, the manufacturer also promises a periscope telephoto portrait lens with a 60x hybrid zoom. The processor of the new smartphone will be Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate, and the photos taken will be displayed on an LTPO screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a brightness of 1400 nits.
