Meizu returns to the global market!

Previous announcements about the end of Meizu smartphones are becoming increasingly questionable. The Meizu Note 21 and Meizu Note 21 Pro (not to be confused with the Meizu 21 Note) will go on sale outside of China, and that's just the beginning.

Meizu Note 21 looks familiar

In addition to new Meizu Note 21 and Meizu Note 21 Pro, Meizu 21, already known from China, will also go on sale internationally. This is good news because Meizu 21 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 200 Mpx main camera will be the only flagship smartphone in the international offer - the two new models with Note in their name are mid-range at best. They try to make up for their relatively modest parameters with their appearance - interestingly, the cheaper of the two models, Meizu Note 21, pretends to be an advanced iPhone 16 Pro Max, while the Meizu Note 21 Pro focuses on a more universal vertical dual-camera layout adopted this year by the basic iPhone 16 model.

The basic Meizu Note 21 model is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh, an unspecified octa-core processor with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, and a capacious 6000 mAh battery with rather slow 18 W charging. It is powered by a 50 Mpx main camera and an auxiliary background blur 2 Mpx on the back, and an 8 Mpx selfie camera in the notch on the front - the manufacturer does not boast about the third camera at all.

Meizu Note 21 Pro is superior to the basic model in many ways. Its display has a slightly larger diagonal of 6.78 inches and a smoother refresh rate of 120 Hz, and for photos it uses a 64 Mpx main camera, a 2 Mpx secondary camera and a 13 Mpx selfie camera in the hole. It is powered by a Mediatek Helio G99 processor with an 8+256 GB memory set identical to the basic model, and its less capacious 4950 mAh battery can be charged at 30 W. Both models offer the option of expanding the internal memory with a microSD card and offer three colour versions to choose from: Bay Blue/Gulf Blue, Sandstone/Diamond Black and Marble/Ivory white.

Details on the appearance and specifications of the new smartphones can already be found on the manufacturer's website, although their prices and availability have not yet been disclosed. It is known that they will go on sale in selected regions of Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Meizu Lucky 08 wants to be a flagship

In addition to the two budget-mid-range novelties and the global debut of the familiar model, Meizu has another, more mysterious smartphone up its sleeve. On September 25, in China, we can expect Meizu Lucky 08, a "flagship smartphone with AI" with an unusual-looking camera island and two color variants. The manufacturer is not revealing the details of its specifications yet... but it does reveal its price.

Meizu Lucky 08 will be available for 2,000 yuan, or about $282, €254. At such a price, you can't expect all of its parameters to be top-shelf, but it may still turn out to be an interesting device. For now, interested parties can pay one yuan to reserve a place in the queue to get the smartphone first, and at the same time have the chance to try out the Lynk & Co Z10 electric car and receive an additional discount when returning an older smartphone.
