Apple has decided to give its smallest tablet - the Apple iPad mini - a refresh treatment. What has changed?
The Apple iPad mini 2024 differs from its predecessor from 2021 primarily in its processor. In its latest version, it received the Apple A17 chip, known from the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones. In addition, the new iPad Mini is ready to support Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence - although as we know, its availability for users outside the US is limited. The new iPad Mini will also offer support for the Apple Pencil stylus and will appear with larger memory - the current minimum is 128 GB. The new model will also receive a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 modules and optional 5G - but with eSIM. There will also be a new color - blue - which will expand the range of available variants. The screen will not change, it will remain 8.3 inches, with Liquid Retina IPS technology, a resolution of 1488 x 2266 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2. The refresh rate has not changed either, remaining at 60 Hz.
The changes don't include 12-megapixel cameras or a 19.3 Wh battery with 20-watt charging. The good old Touch ID fingerprint reader also remains on board. The price list is as follows:
