As previously announced, Pova 8 5G, an interesting-looking smartphone, has debuted in India. It boasts an additional display and a large battery.

As announced, the Tecno Pova 8 smartphone is equipped with an additional Alive Matrix Display on the back of the casing, reminiscent of the solution used by Nothing. This screen is integrated into the triangular camera island, like one of the lenses. It is composed of 104 small LEDs, allowing it to display pictogram notifications or a clock. The screen also displays battery charge status, a countdown, and animations, such as when playing music. The smartphone also boasts an interesting rear panel design. The Tecno Pova 8 also deserves praise for its robust 8000 mAh battery with 45-watt charging and reverse power. The battery life is estimated at 2000 cycles while maintaining 80% capacity, which translates to approximately 6 years.

The Pova 8 5G features a 6.76-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as a 240 Hz touchscreen with Wet & Oily Finger Touch Recognition 2.0 technology, which improves recognition of wet and oily fingers. The smartphone's heart is a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, supported by LPDDR5x and UFS 2.2 memory in 6 or 8+128GB configurations, and powered by Android 16 with HiOS 16. The camera section features a 13-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony Lytia 600 sensor. The camera records in 2K and has an unspecified secondary lens, likely for portraits. Two IP64-rated housing colors are available.
