Gresso Cruiser Air Black

A recipe for success of the Russian company Gresso is simple. We take an oldish phone, pack into a luxurious housing and sell the to powerful of this world for huge money. It is no different in case of the latest model.

Gresso Cruiser Air Black is a really strange design. The buyer receives an obsolete Nokia in the shocking with ascetic elegance, very expensive case. It is possible that the Russian producer buys back components not sold under normal conditions, stored for several years, and then launches the restoration treatment, packing them in his wonderful cases. This is just my theory, which I drew after reading the technical specification. We find in it information that Cruiser Air Black is based on Symbian S40. We do not know what the processor is, but the data on memory suggests that we can not expect miracles. A built-in memory is 30 MB and an additional slot for the microSD card will take a maximum of 2 GB. The phone's camera would be great, but a few years ago. Today, a 2-megamixel camera cause a smile of pity ... The display wouldn't impress us as well. It measures two inches and its resolution is 240x320 pixels. We will not find 3G, we have only GPRS in GSM 900, 1800 and 1900 frequency bands. All powers lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 860 mAh.

As you can see, the phone is unlikely to attract a buyer with technology itself ... but if we wrap this battered technology with a one-piece aluminum alloy construction, used in the aerospace industry, the whole begins to look a little more intriguing. What's more, each case is continuously hand polished by a single craftsman for several hours. To create protective and decorative coating, the anodizing process is performed. The front and back panels are created from solid tempered glass plates. The tempering performed at 800°C and followed by rapid cooling increases the strength of the glass in several times. At the end panels of glass are covered by black paint in a unique (of course!) technological process. Much attention is paid to the keyboard. Each steel button is hand polished to a high gloss, then mounted in a special mechanism with precision far higher than the average phone. Therefore it is not surprising that the series is a limited edition of only 555 phones. Firstly, it provides customers a sense of uniqueness of the product, and secondly - it's hard to expect mass production, since the manual smoothing of a single key takes several hours.

Despite the sophisticated case, the phone - as a Gresso product - is not too expensive. This simple mobile in the luxury housing can be bought at the pice of $ 1,700. For those who want to stand out even more, Gresso suggests decorating the body with Svarowski crystals. For this pleasure, however you have to pay $ 7,000, and if it is still too cheap, in Gresso offer there are even more expensive toys, such as "back" to the iPhone with three Swiss watches and diamonds for only ... 30 thousand dollars. Of course, the iPhone is added for free ;)
