The world went crazy about waterproof smartphones and every manufacturer makes it a point of honor to have such a model in the range. Today, LG joins the race with its Optimus GJ, presented in Taiwan.
This phone is an extension of Optimusa G. It has similar features, but it received a casing which allows to dip it for a half-hour to foot-deep water (IPX7). By the way, there is also protection against the ingress of dust into the casing - IPX5. Family relationship of GJ with Optimus G indicates the symbol of the model - the first has a symbol E975W, and the second a sign E975.

This means that buyers can expect a 4.7-inch IPS display with a HD resolution, which is 1280x720 pixels. Below the screen there is a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, accompanied by 2GB of RAM. Both models also connects the presence of a 13-megapixel camera and a 1.3-megapixel front webcam and a built-in storage of 16 GB expandable with a microSD card. Optimus GJ has, however, stronger battery (with a capacity of 2280 mAh), it has also more aggressive colours, but it was deprived of NFC module. After modifications, the phone has dimensions of 139.6 x68,9x9,39 mm and weighs 141.2 g.

The smartphone debuted a few days ago in Japan, but then there was not a word about its distribution besides the DoCoMo network. Today, we found that LG wants to give Optimus GJ probably to a wider, global distribution - although officially nothing has been written about it. I have nothing against it... because GJ is promising to be quite good.
