Ergonomic and compact 5-inch screen, ideal for mobile browsing, social networking, pics taking - so the model Acer Liquid Z5 is touted by the manufacturer. We rather note stagnation.
- Stagnation is not so much of the Liquid series, because it is still being improved with small steps, but rather in relation to the rest of the smartphone market. Acer proposes budgetary position, with two different standards of SIM cards - because Liquid Z5 supports miniSIM and microSIM – with a dual-core 1.3 GHz processor and quite poor, as in today's times 5 megapixel camera, although we have here BSI, HDR and 5-element lens, and pixels the size of 1.4 to 1.4 micrometers.
In defense of the smartphone can be said that, it seems very nicely made , although the top and bottom of the front cover may resemble the HTC projects. The whole is quite thin - the housing is only 8.8 mm thick.
A 5-inch display offers a resolution of 480x854 pixels, the manufacturer has built in the device 4GB of internal memory and a gigabyte of RAM. Every buyer therefore is forced to buy immediately a memory card.
Acer Liquid Z5 will try to match to a user thanks to four pre-defined profiles.
- Basic Mode: for youngsters with fixed call and text functions;
- Senior Mode: messages, radio, weather, magnify, clock, quick call contacts to make life easier;
- Classic mode: all main functions in a simple and organized layout for first time smartphone users;
- Keypad mode: for people who primarily use voice and need their keypad right away.
Will you buy the Acer's proposal? It will be available from mid-January of this year in France, the Benelux countries, Germany, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. Suggested retail price is 169 euro. In the pictures you can see that it will be launched in two colours: Essential White and Gentle Grey.
