Sony introduces a new variant of Xperia M2. Sony Xperia M2 Aqua presented today does not differ with the equipment from the original, but its better when we talk about water resistance. M2 Aqua meets the requirements of IP 65/68.
Meeting the requirements of IP65/68 means that the phone is resistant to water jets impinging on it at any angle, it can also be immersed in the 1.5 meter for half an hour - provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed. Thus, it appears that the only - but quite serious modification – comparing to M2 is the case of the new model. The phone - although it looks similar - was probably to some extent redesigned to become fully waterproof.
