The Honor Robot Phone has just been released – a flagship smartphone unlike any other. It's time to confirm its features, specifications, and price.
The main selling point of the new smartphone is, of course, its striking 200MP camera on a gimbal mount. The AI assistant Yoyo dances effectively to the beat of music in promotional videos, but the Honor Robot Phone gimbal also has much more practical applications – you can, for example, rotate it 90 or 180 degrees with a single tap, allowing you to take photos from unusual angles and eliminating the need for a selfie camera.
When recording videos, the gimbal intelligently tracks the subject or person being filmed, and Honor's partnership with ARRI helps create truly professional video content, resulting in the ability to record videos in the LOGC3 format, providing additional post-production and color grading options.
When the gimbal mount is not needed, the main OmniVision OV52A camera can be stored in an island camera next to the other cameras – a 200MP periscopic telephoto lens and a 50MP wide-angle lens. There's also a typical 50MP selfie camera in a punch-hole display.
With the gimbal retracted, the Honor Robot Phone is a relatively small smartphone, with a 6.31-inch FHD+ OLED display. However, the phone is quite thick and heavy – 9.59mm thick and weighing 248 grams. The gimbal camera likely contributed to this, although the manufacturer claims its design is 65% smaller than typical gimbals. It also boasts a large battery – its capacity is 7060 mAh and it can be charged at 120W. The Honor Robot Phone also features the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and the Android 16 operating system.

Although you can already read about the Robot Phone on Honor's official English-language website, there's no word yet on any potential global launch plans. In China, the Honor Robot Phone is available in silver and dark gray color variants, and in two rich memory variants - the version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory costs 9,999 yuan (about $1,485, €1,285), while the variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of file space costs 12,999 yuan ($1,930, €1,670).
