I can't remember the last time I held in my hand a Motorola phone. I can't remember the last time a phone of this company impressed me. I know, however, that I will remember Moto X for a long time.

I saw Moto X for the first time during the presentation at the IFA Berlin - and I knew it would be a phone approaching its uniqueness to the cult RAZR. Moto X is not rather a cult phone, but it certainly makes a big impression.

The smartphone is incredibly elegant. It has a beautiful, streamlined lines and a metal body. The rear - depending on the requirements and the wealth of the owner - may be covered with a nice in touch material or a natural material - leather or wood. My copy is with leather - and I must admit that holding it in my hand is a real pleasure.

We feel that we keep a luxury item: a smartphone is not the lightest, but the leather back causes that it's great in the hand and ... it is warm. Of course, I'm not talking about the heat produced by the quad-core Qualcomm processor, but I mean subjective feeling. They're just phones, which holding gives pleasure - and that's it.

The Moto X housing is solid and free of frills. The only oddity is the ring flash around the camera lens, based on the two LEDs. It is to give a better, diffused light. At the front – the cut outs which hide the speakers are an interesting accent. How do they play – I'll just check it out. The screen - at first glance - raises a positive association. The interface - no surprises.

In fact, the standard Android, but enriched with Motorola applications. One of them is regulating the interface of voice control - the operation of which can be compared with Siri or Cortana. The second of the apps will help in "changing" Moto X from our old smartphone. And that's it? Not enough? Personally, I prefer to install only what I need, instead of whining to the mass of the applications which I do not want and I can't easily uninstall!

Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the set: we were sent only the phone itself. I assume, however, that in the normal package there will be at least the manual and the USB cable... I'll tell you, however, that a smartphone does not have a slot for a microSD card, and in turn the SIM card must be in nano format. And that's it for now – for a full review I invite you in approx. two weeks.
