At this year's MWC ASUS has not unveiled (yet) any novelties. Despite this, we visited the stand of the Taiwanese to look at up close the smartphones, which were presented at the January CES. We almost made it...
Almost, because the phone that interested us the most came to Barcelona in one copy in addition discharged. We're talking about Zenfone Zoom equipped with a decent, 13-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and mechanical image stabilization. I regret I couldn't try out its features...

The second model, which we could see, was Zenfone 2, which has the most of the specifications (apart from the camera) of the above mentioned Zenfone Zoom. Zenfone 2 has a 5.5-inch FullHD display 403 ppi and the Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz CPU. This is the first in the world (according to the manufacturer) smartphone with 4 GB of RAM. Zenfone 2 moreover is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 and a double, two-color LED flash. At the front there is a 5 megapixel camera and a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh is charged to 60% in less than 40 minutes. The phone pleases the eye with its appearance, but looking at the back wall I had the feeling that "somewhere I've already seen it"?

And although, in principle, I am sure that Asus has nothing to surprise us at the MWC, I'd love to be wrong. Otherwise – we will have a strong player in the competition for the saddest booth at this year's Congress.
