One of the legends of the music world – Marshall company – joined forces with Finnish Creoir company and created their first smartphone. A while ago this renowned manufacturer of guitar speakers tried their hands in the market of headphones and Bluetooth speakers. Apparently, they thought that all they need now is a smartphone...
As you can expect, Marshall London is a music phone. Its housing resembles iconic Marshall constructions – it has a similar style, it is black with brighter, metal accents. Details are strongly emphasized. For example, volume is not controlled by a button, but by a solid, metal knob.

At the front of the phone there are stereophonic speakers in the size of 13x18mm, on the list of the equipment we can find two microphones with an active noise reduction, DSP Wolfson (WM8281) CPU and two mini jacks – so that the user does not have to listen to music by himself or herself. We can of course transmit the sound through Bluetooth, but it is better to do it through a cable. The musical equipment is complemented by an enhanced player and a set of applications for musicians and DJs.

However, the specification of the phone is not from the highest shelf. We have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.4GHz CPU supported by 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch IPS display with an HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 3. Music lovers will probably not be pleased about the fact that the phone has only 16GB of internal memory, so it is not enough to store a decent collection of CDs. As a consolation – there is a microSD socket.

The phone is a musical one – and (according to the manufacturer) it does not have to take brilliant photos. Marshall London has an 8-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front camera, which is enough for a less demanding user. The same goes with the battery – 2500mAh is not the highest accomplishment and it will not allow to listen to music for many hours. Dimensions of the phone working under Android 5.0.2 are 149.4 x 74.7 x 9.8mm, and the weight - 145 g.

It was supposed to be perfect, but in fact we receive only an average smartphone with a slightly better audio, two jacks and a stylish housing, for a high price of 4995 Swedish krona, which is more than 480 euro. Headphones added free of charge will not change the fact that this is a device for connoisseurs, and more pointedly – for devoted fans of the brand. Provided that they have not managed to sink into Apple ecosystem yet.
