Phicomm is one of the Chinese manufacturers that are trying to win European markets with their smartphones. Their advertising campaign is accompanied with “your portal to smart life” slogan.
We were able to see on their stand mainly three smartphones: Energy L, Clue L and Clue M. Judging by their specification and looks, the manufacturer is targeting lower market shelves, though it consequently uses Qualcomm CPUs in their new devices and it is preparing them to work with LTE networks.
Clue M, which is supposed to cost 129 euro, works under Android KitKat. In its specification we can find a Qualcomm MSM8916 CPU, 8GB of flash memory and 1GB of RAM memory and a pair of budget photo sensors – 5 and 0.3 megapixels. The 4.5-inch display works in the FWVGA resolution (480x854 pixels).
Energy L is Android L and Qualcomm MSM8909, but with memories similar to the predecessor. Cameras have 8 and 2MP. The smartphone will cost 169 euro.
Clue L works with Android 5.0 as well, it has identical memories sizes and an MSM8909 CPU. Cameras: 5 and 2 MP. The price: 149 euro.

Economical Europeans will probably be pleased. The thing is that Phicomm propositions do not seem to stand out with anything particular, which does not give them much chance against the competition from other Chinese brands.
