Among very similar, close with technical specifications devices on March 29 there will appear on the smartphone market, the construction which is considered obsolete. – Additionally the clamshell Gionee W909 will have 4 GB of RAM.

I do not know if you know that Gionee is the Chinese manufacturer who makes great, well prepared smartphones, but known in Europe, mainly under other brands. Some of their smartphones are sold as myPhone or Allview, but not only. I admit that this is the first Chinese brand that 2-3 years ago surprised me most of all with the quality; much better then, than the quality of the smartphones of much more well-known brands in Europe. Gionee W909 is not their only clamshell. Not so long ago made its debut Gionee W900S.

But to the point: they are preparing a smartphone with a clamshell, which will have 64 GB of flash ROM and 4 GB of RAM. Gionee W909 - because it is to be called - will have the camera with a matrix of 16 megapixels, and a front 5 megapixel webcam. In the middle there is an 8-core Mediatek Helio P10 (MT6755M) with a clock of 1.8 GHz. Probably Gionee W909 will have two touch screens and a standard T9 keypad.

I wonder if any of the European producers decide to sell this smartphone under its own brand. Knowing the existing Gionee projects we can expect the sophisticated design. Specification does not suggest a smartphone from the top shelf, but it looks pretty good. The problem may be a matter of a price and the actual need for a smartphone with a flap. Silently I hope that one of the producers, however, takes the risk.
