The Chinese branch of Huawei officially unveiled the model Maimang 5. In Europe, the phone will be offered probably as Huawei G9.
Huawei Maimang 5 has a slim, metal casing and curved glass display 2.5D. The screen has a narrow frame, the size of 5.5 inches and a FullHD resolution. The heart of the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2 GHz. The phone will be available in two versions of memory. 3 GB of RAM would be combined with 32 GB of internal memory, while the variant with 4 GB of RAM will be offered with 64 GB of flash memory.
Huawei Maimang 5 received a decent 16-megapixel camera with an optical image stabilization (OIS) and an auto focus based on the detection phase (PDAF). The main camera can record 4K videos, while the front camera is 8 megapixel. The smartphone has LTE, Bluetooh 4.1, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, accessories complement the fingerprint scanner. Huawei Maimang 5 can operate in DualSIM, but at the expense of expandable memory - a hybrid slot. It has a battery with a capacity of 3340 mAh. The phone uses Android 6.0 Marshmallow with an interface overlay EMUI 4.1. The price - depending on the version of memory - is 2399 or 2599 yuan, which gives approx. 359 or $ 389.
