At the end of March, with the GFX benchmark, we met the Alcatel Idol 5S specification. Today, thanks to the well known leakster, we finally know the look of the device.
The photo of the new phone was published by Roland Quandt. The photo shows the finished, working copy of Alcatel Idol 5S (6060C) for distribution on the Cricket Wiress network next to the well-known and popular Idol 4. If you had trouble distinguishing - the new model is on the left.
Styling almost unchanged comparing with the predecessor
The tip is probably needed here, because the phones are difficult to distinguish at the first glance. They have almost identical dimensions and almost the same look. They vary in detail - even the speaker grilles. It seems to me that these grilles are a bit wider than in Idol 4, but maybe it's just an illusion enhanced by larger holes...? Similarly, the glass of the screen seems to be slightly more prominent than the outline of the enclosure - but again, it may be an illusion enhanced by glare in the picture. Anyway - in the appearance of the phone there will be no revolutionary changes. It's a pity...
We already know the specification, but when the launch?
We know the specification for now only unofficially - from the benchmark. It pointed out that Alcatel Idol 5S has a 5,2-inch FullHD display and a 2.3 GHz MediaTek Helio P20 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Cameras have 12 and 8 megapixels and the smartphone uses Android 7.0. The timing of the launch remains unknown, but I'm betting on the beginning of September, at the IFA ...
