CAT has unveiled another durable smartphone. This time it is a phone in a form of a flip, rare in this segment. Meet CAT S22 Flip!
CAT S22 Flip - as befits a smartphone of this brand - has a dust- and waterproof housing (IP68 class), which in addition meets the military requirements for resistance to falls - MIL-SPEC 810H. The device will withstand a half-hour immersion at a depth of 1.5 meters and a fall from a height of 1.8 meters onto a hard surface. It also tolerates contact with salt water or constant high ambient humidity.
Inside the casing there is a Qualcomm 215 quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB flash memory, with the option of expanding with a microSD card. The power supply is provided by a 2000 mAh battery, and everything is managed by Android 11 in the Go version. The phone has a classic keypad and two displays. The main, internal, behind the Gorilla Glass 5 glass has a diagonal of 2.8 inches and a resolution of 480 x 640 pixels, while the external, auxiliary one has a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and a size of 1.44 inches.

The equipment of this specific design is complemented by cameras with a resolution of 5 and 2 Mpx and a programmable button with the PTT option. CAT S22 Flip is currently offered by the US T-Mobile network for $ 234 or on a subscription for $ 9.75 for 24 months. For now, there is no information about the availability of this model outside the US - but if it came to us, it could cost 199 euros.
