Vivo today unveiled three new mid-range models in China. Vivo S16 and Vivo S16 Pro are models that rub some elements of the equipment with the flagship segment, and they are also accompanied by Vivo S16e, positioned a point lower.
Vivo S16 and Vivo S16 Pro received similar 6.78-inch OLED displays with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz image refresh rate and 300 Hz touch. The screens offer a 10-bit color palette, as well as a brightness of up to 1300 nits. Both models also have strong selfie cameras (hidden in screen holes) - with autofocus and 50-megapixel matrices. Smartphones are also connected by the battery capacity (4600 mAh) and their charging power (66 W), as well as the Android 13 operating system with the OriginOS 3 interface.
Vivo S16
Vivo S16 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 memory. This model received a modest set of cameras - typical of the mid-range. The main rear module is a 64-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle module and a 2-megapixel macro eye. This model is available in four memory versions:

- 8+256GB - 2699 yuan, $389
- 12+256GB - 2999 yuan, $430
- 12+512GB - 3299 yuan, $473

Vivo S16 Pro
Vivo S16 Pro received a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor and LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory. This smartphone has a photographic set similar to that in the basic version, but the main camera here is 50-megapixel, with larger pixels, but invariably also with optical image stabilization. The other two cameras are the well-known 8+2 Mpx set. In the case of the Pro version, we have only two sets of memory to choose from:
- 12+256GB - 3299 yuan, $473
- 12+512GB - 3599 yuan, $515
Vivo S16e
Vivo S16e is the cheapest model - but also different from the other two. It is smaller, has a 6.62-inch screen - but still OLED, FHD+, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1300 nits. This screen has a hole for a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The heart of this model is the Samsung Exynos 1080 processor, combined with LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 memories. The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels and optical image stabilization, but the other two are already 2-megapixels for macro and background blurring. Interestingly, this model runs the old Android 11 system, but the battery is the same as in the other two S16: 4600 mAh with 66-watt charging. The following variants are available:
