The Nubia brand belonging to ZTE presented new models from the Red Magic gaming family. Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ break with the current style of smartphones in this series - but still remain super efficient gaming machines.
This year's gaming Nubia is distinguished by a bolder, more angular housing style. The sides have been flattened, and the characteristic convexity of the rear panel has been abandoned. Now the "backs" are also flat, but still covered with glass. It can be matte-gray, but more attention will be drawn to the translucent variant, with a fan illuminated by LEDs and fancy grilles "imitating" smartphone components. The aforementioned fan is only a visible (and audible) part of the extensive cooling system for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and LPDDR5x and UFS 4.0 memory. The efficient innards are complemented by: a dedicated menu for players, as well as separate gaming buttons. There were also solid stereo speakers that make the game more enjoyable, just like the multi-axis vibration mechanism used in the smartphone.

The 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate is also quite impressive. It has now gained an even narrower frame and less rounded corners - it really takes up almost the entire front of the phone - but it's not the end. The screen is not marred by the hole for the selfie camera - this is because the newly developed module with a 16-megapixel matrix is hidden under the display panel. The same fate befell the fingerprint reader. Gaming Nubies never enchanted with photographic capabilities - they could be considered average. This year, however, some progress awaits us, because the usual 64 Mpx matrix has been replaced by a newer, 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 with larger pixels and a lens with a better aperture - f/1.57. The other two cameras, however, will remain in the well-known layout: 8 Mpx wide-angle and 2 Mpx for macro. These are - so far - all the common features of the base version and the "Plus". The models differ in batteries and their charging power. And so, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro version has a 6000 mAh battery and 80 W charging, and the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ we will find a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh - but with a charging power of 165 W. Unfortunately, the global version may be weaker... As an operating system , in Red Magic 8 Pro we will see Android 13 with the proprietary Red Magic OS 6 interface (hopefully this time it will have better Polish translation...
