Another Russian smartphone - will it work this time?

Cut off at its own request from Western technologies, Russia is trying to become self-sufficient in the field of smartphones. The first "Russian" smartphone AYYA T1 turned out to be a dud, but the next one seems to be a bit more interesting...

Russian media reported on the new R-Fon (Р-ФОН) model by Ruteq JSC. The smartphone itself - seems to be a tolerable medium, but devoid of curiosities - except for one. It is the Rosa operating system. All we know about it is that it was created in Russia and is based on Linux - so it may just be a modified Android. This is indicated by the described compatibility with Android applications. Little is known about the system - for now, the information is classified, because the phone will first go to the government sector. Only later, in 2024, the system is to be made available for commercial use, but then it will probably go to a more modern device than R-Fon.

This one - as I mentioned - is quite a typical medium, but it is not necessarily the latest scream of technology. R-Fon has a sad housing and a 6.7-inch LCD screen, possibly even with Full HD + resolution. The smartphone is based on the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. On board we will find a camera with a main matrix of 50 megapixels - and the additional ones are probably two 2-megapixel cameras, at best a set of 8 Mpx wide-angle and 2 Mpx for macro ... The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, and the equipment list also includes m among others minijack, NFC, side fingerprint reader, DualSIM, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The price of the smartphone is currently estimated at 40,000. rubles, or $425.

The whole thing seems to be manufactured in China based on widely available components, although the system platform seems to be actually the work of Russian programmers. Whatever the case, the smartphone will probably actually go into the hands of people associated with the Russian administration (they have, among others, a ban on using iPhones) - but it is unlikely to conquer the hearts of ordinary consumers. Of course - if they can buy it at all...

I have one and works perfectly. The best of all is that it can not be spied by westerner perverts.
