Motorola today presented its super-medium-sized model, the Edge 40 Neo. What does the new smartphone offer and how much does it cost?
Motorola Edge 40 Neo refers to the style of other smartphones from the Edge 40 family and has a slim casing which - depending on the color version - is finished with matte plastic or vegan leather. The smartphone has a decent 6.55-inch pOLED screen with FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and brightness up to 1,300 nits. The display offers 10-bit colors, DCI-P3 palette, HDR10+ certificate and eye protection against harmful light bands. The heart of Edge 40 Neo is the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor (formerly known as Dimensity 1050, supported by modern uMCP memories. These are memories that integrate in one RAM chip and flash. The memories will be offered in 8+128 and 12+256 variants.

The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery charging with a power of 68 W, and an appropriate charger will be included in the set. The list of equipment includes NFC, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 5G and eSIM, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6. Photos are taken by the main 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.5" matrix, f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization image, while selfies are provided by a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera is complemented by a 13-megapixel wide-angle module with a macro function, f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. There are three color versions to choose from, prepared in cooperation with the institute Pantone: Black Beauty, Soothing Sea and Caneel Bay - to put it more simply, black, blue and green. The device has dimensions of 159.63 x 71.99 x 7.79 (vegan: 7.89) mm and weighs 170-172 g, and compared to its predecessor, it is positively distinguished by its dust- and waterproof IP68 class. The price of the smartphone with 126+256 GB memory is EUR 399.
