The best-equipped of the three models in the Vivo X100 series is to receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but the other two models powered by Mediatek Dimensity 9300 should also not disappoint in terms of performance.
Vivo X90 series specifications
We already know a lot about the successors of the Vivo X90 series. New models are scheduled to hit the Chinese market at the end of 2023, and thanks to the leakster Fixed Focus Digital we also know the appearance of Vivo X100 Pro. The leaks also included many specifications of the Vivo X100 series. All three models can receive a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ refresh and a selfie camera in the hole in the front of the screen, a 5000 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging, as well as the Android 14 operating system with the Funtouch OS interface.
Vivo X100 Pro+ is to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and for photos it will be equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50 Mpx main camera, an IMX598 50 Mpx ultra-wide-angle camera, an IMX758 portrait telephoto lens and a 200 Mpx periscope telephoto lens. The two cheaper models will receive a Mediatek Dimensity 9300 processor, and the quality of their photos will be improved by the V3 imaging system. X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ can also offer IP68 tightness, dual stereo speakers, an infrared transmitter and a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
What will Mediatek Dimensity 9300 offer?
MediaTek specializes in processors for mid-range smartphones, but it can also power flagships. The new high-end Dimensity 9300 processor is scheduled to debut in October, ahead of its competitor's debut at Snapdragon Summit 2023. The new processor will be equipped with four Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, as well as the Immortalis G720 graphics chip. Dimensity 9300 will be manufactured using the TSMC N4P process, and compared to its predecessor, it will offer 15% more performance and 40% less energy consumption. There are rumors that the new Mediatek will offer better performance than the Apple A17 Pro processor, although the current performance of the iPhone 15 Pro Max in the benchmark clearly indicates that it is one of the most efficient smartphones.
