The Indian branch of Oppo presented the new Oppo A79 5G smartphone. This model tempts mainly with its appearance, because technically it is rather average.
Oppo A79 5G introduces Glowing Feather Design, inspired by bird feathers - whatever that means. In fact, the smartphone is not ugly and is available in black or green. Technically - there's nothing to admire, but there's not much to criticize either. Just ordinary, correct equipment for the average user. Oppo A79 5G has a 6.72-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, 90 Hz image refresh rate, 680 nits brightness and full coverage of the DCI-P3 palette. The heart of the smartphone is the not-so-new MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, currently presented (probably for the sake of concealment) as Dimensity 6020. It is supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memories in a typical combination of 8+128 GB, and the internal memory can be expanded with a microSD card.

In the photographic part, we have an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 50-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and support from a 2-megapixel background blur. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, charging with a power of 33 W. The equipment is complemented by, among others: DualSIM, minijack, stereo speakers and side fingerprint reader. Oppo A79 5G has dimensions of 165.6x76x7.99 mm and weighs 193 g. The equipment is priced in India at 19,999 rupees, or $240.
