Motorola Edge 50 will be like a battleship!

Motorola Edge 50 will go on sale in India on August 1, which is already known from the official announcement. The same announcement also reveals many elements of the new smartphone's specifications, including its above-average durability. The previous model already offered dust and water resistance at the IP68 level, and Motorola Edge 50 will also receive the MIL-810H certificate, confirming the military level of resistance to high and low temperatures, falls, vibrations, humidity and pressure. It will be the first smartphone from the Motorola Edge series with this type of standard, and according to the manufacturer, it will also be the thinnest of all smartphones with this certificate.

In addition to durability, Motorola Edge will boast parameters suitable for a good mid-range smartphone. Its display is a 6.67-inch rounded pOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a brightness of 1900 nits - definitely higher than the 1200 nits of the Motorola Edge 40. Its processor will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and a battery with a larger capacity of 5000 mAh will be able to be charged with a power of 68 W comparable to its predecessor or inductively with a power of 15 W. The Sony LYT-700C 50 Mpx main camera, a 13 Mpx wide-angle camera that also functions as a macro camera, and a 10 Mpx telephoto lens with 30x digital zoom will be used for photos. On the front, there will be a 32 Mpx selfie camera in the hole.

It is not yet known how much RAM the Motorola Edge 50 will get, but you can count on at least 256 GB of internal memory and the Android 14 operating system at launch, with Motorola promising 3 years of system updates and 4 years of security patches. There will be three color options to choose from when purchasing - dark green Jungle Green and Peach Fuzz covered with vegan leather in a peach Pantone color, as well as dark gray Koala Gray imitating suede.
