In addition to Vivo Y300 Pro, which stands out with its battery, the brand has today presented another mid-range smartphone, once again showing off its unusual naming.
The BBK group responsible for the Vivo brand has a rather relaxed approach to naming phones - we have often seen both identical smartphones with several names, as well as identically named devices with different parameters and appearance. This time, the manufacturer has clearly decided to go against the chronological convention and introduce a new model from the Vivo Y37 series shortly after the premiere of the first device with Y38 in its name.
It's hard to find logic in this, so let's focus on the specifics: compared to the Vivo Y38 5G, which premiered in May 2024, the newly presented Vivo Y37 Pro stands out with a square camera island more typical of the brand's style, but at the same time has very similar, only slightly more modest parameters. Its display is a 6.68-inch LCD with HD resolution, a peak brightness of 1000 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor accompanied by 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal memory and the OriginOS 4 interface, its battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh and charges at 44 W, and it is used for photos by a 50 Mpx main camera, a 2 Mpx depth sensor and a 5 Mpx selfie camera in a hole on the front. The Vivo Y37 Pro also features IP64 sealing, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm mini-jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
