Realme 14x 5G in India and Realme 14x in Malaysia are seemingly identical smartphones with an identical name, but the reality is different. What distinguishes the new model?
For example, the distribution method, because the Malaysian Realme 14x can only be purchased on the TikTok store platform, where the manufacturer sells the smartphone on its official profile. The model is available there in a single 8+256 GB memory variant, at a price of MYR 1099, which translates to about $251, €239. The price of the Indian Realme 14x, available with less internal memory, was relatively lower, around $190 in the more expensive version.
The Malaysian Realme 14x 5G, in addition to more memory, also boasts the latest Android 15 operating system with the Realme UI 6.0 interface, but it is not without its flaws - its battery has an average capacity of 5000 mAh, and it can only be charged at 15 W. Its degree of water resistance is lower, confirmed by the IP64 certificate, and there is no red colour option - you can choose from green Peridot Green and black Carbon Black.
In addition, the parameters of the new Realme 14x are the same as the previous model - its display is a 6.67-inch LCD IPS with HD+ resolution and 120 refresh rate Hz, and it will use a 50 Mpx main camera and an 8 Mpx selfie camera for photos. The processor will be the Mediatek Dimensity 6300, supporting 5G connectivity.
There is another Realme smartphone on the horizon with a similar appearance and parameters, known by the code name RMX5020. This smartphone will get a new colour variant and will not have 5G connectivity, which suggests that we will see it under a slightly different name.
