The new smartphone Redmi Note 14 SE 5G, promoted as a killer in its price range, debuted in India today. Is it really that killer?
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G debuts in four colours, including a striking red. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, manufactured using 6nm lithography and supported by 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable with a microSD card. The smartphone is powered by Android 15 with the Xiaomi HyperOS overlay, which is displayed on a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen samples touch at 2160 Hz, has 10-bit colour, brightness up to 2100 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The camera setup starts with a 20-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2), while on the back we find a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 1/1.95-inch main sensor with a lens with an excellent f/1.5 aperture. The setup is rounded out by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4). Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, a minijack, an infrared emitter, and a fingerprint reader. The 162.4 x 75.7 x 7.99 mm case offers IP64 water resistance, and the phone weighs 190 g. All of this is powered by a 5110 mAh battery with 45-watt charging. The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is priced at 15,000 rupees (USD 175) in India.
