Sharp's new mid-range smartphone won't debut for another week, but practically everything is already known about it.
Sharp Aquos Sense10 will go on sale on November 10th, and its appearance, specifications, and prices are already available on the manufacturer's website and in local stores. Externally, the new model is almost identical to last year's Sharp Aquos Sense9. Its specifications also share much with its predecessor, but there are a few significant changes.
The Sharp Aquos Sense10 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor instead of the previous Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Thanks to the earlier release of the new operating system, it has managed to jump ahead two generations, offering Android 16 instead of Android 14. The new processor provides 20% better CPU performance, 40% more powerful GPU, and 30% more AI performance, while its battery lasts longer, although its capacity remains at 5000 mAh. The 6.1-inch Pro IGZO OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 1500 nits peak brightness, and a variable, smooth refresh rate of up to 240 Hz remains an attractive feature. A 50.3MP main camera and a 50.3MP ultra-wide-angle camera are used for photography, as well as a 32MP front-facing selfie camera. As befits a Japanese smartphone, the Sharp Aquos Sense10 offers IPX5, IPX8, and IP6X waterproofing, as well as the MIL-STD-810H military durability standard.
The Sharp Aquos Sense10 will be available in six shades – Full Black, Light Silver, Pale Mint, Pale Pink, Khaki Green, and Denim Navy – as well as two memory variants. The version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage costs 62,700 yen (about $410, €355), while the 8/256 GB variant will be available for 69,300 yen ($450, €390).
