The Honor Magic8 smartphone family has expanded with a new, cheapest model, the Honor Magic8 Lite.
Honor Magic8 Lite follows in style and features from its predecessors. Although it stands out from the outside with its vast camera array, it offers a rather modest setup: a 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (a big plus) and a weak, just 5-megapixel wide-angle camera. On the front, it has a 6.79-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1200x2640 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 6000 nits. The screen has a narrow, symmetrical bezel and eye-friendly 3840 Hz PWM dimming, and a punch-hole cutout at the top for the 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Honor Magic8 Lite uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of flash memory. The smartphone's most important feature, however, is its 7500 mAh battery, which charges at 66 W. The smartphone is designed to withstand drops from a height of 2.5 meters and is also IP66, IP68, and IP69K rated. Its dimensions are 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76 mm and it weighs 189 g. Surprisingly, the smartphone runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9, with no update plans specified. The smartphone is available in green, black, and brick red. Pricing has not yet been announced.
