Xiaomi has announced a new Poco model equipped with a large battery. Will this be the only advantage of the new Poco M8s 5G?
POCO M8s 5G appeared in the manufacturer's announcement, which, however, does not include pricing or a release date. Nevertheless, the information provided suggests an official launch. The Poco M8s 5G will have a 7,000 mAh battery that charges at 33W and offers 18W reverse charging. The battery is expected to retain 80% of its capacity for at least 1,600 charge cycles, and on a 1% charge, it will still provide almost an hour of talk time or 7.5 hours of standby time. The smartphone also has a large screen – a 6.9-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and brightness of up to 850 nits. The Poco M8s 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, supported by LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 memory in capacities of 6+128GB and 8+256GB, with data memory expandable with a microSD card. There are also two cameras on board: an 8-megapixel front camera (f/2.0) and a 50-megapixel rear camera (f/1.8) with background blur. It also features NFC, an infrared transmitter, and a fingerprint reader. The housing will be available in black or white and will be IP64-rated. The smartphone measures 169.48 x 80.45 x 8.4 mm and weighs 217 g.
