Bigme Hibreak Dual 3 with E Ink screen and detachable LCD goes up for pre-order!

Bigme unveils another hybrid device. The Hibreak Dual 3 is even more unconventional!

A few months ago, we had the chance to check out the Bigme Hibreak Dual 2, and now, another model has already gone up for pre-order. This isn't just a rehash—the Hibreak Dual 3 differs from its predecessor in a fundamental way.

The Bigme Hibreak Dual 2 was an unusual device, featuring smartphone internals, a large front E Ink screen, and an LCD display on the back. The Bigme Hibreak Dual 3 shares very similar specifications, with one key difference: its rear screen attaches magnetically and can be easily detached. The 6.13-inch front screen is designed for reading e-books and energy-efficient, eye-friendly text work (a stylus with 4,096 pressure levels is included), while the rear 5-inch LCD display—featuring a 720 x 1280 px resolution—handles multimedia content.

The Bigme Hibreak Dual 3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor and offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage (expandable by 2 TB via a microSD card), running on Android 16. It features a 4,450 mAh battery with 30 W charging and is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera—though, given the placement of the secondary screen, selfies can just as easily be taken using the larger display.

Despite its uniqueness, the Hibreak Dual 3 is not alone; the Hisense A10 Ultra—featuring a similar magnetically attached secondary screen—launched in late August 2026. However, the Hisense hybrid e-book device is available only in China, whereas the Hibreak Dual 3 is already available for global pre-order on the manufacturer's website. Shipping is expected to begin in the first half of November. Depending on your needs, you can choose between a color or monochrome E Ink screen and two RAM/internal storage configurations.
