NEC returns to the U.S. market after an eight-year break. It comes back with a good hit, so with a super tough Terrain smartphone. The device will be available through AT & T for $ 99 in a two-year contract.
The smartphone NEC Terrain is highly unconventional design. This is a model with an increased resistance, which can be immersed in water for half an hour, or be subjected to dust. Terrain, thanks to the reinforced rubber cover, bravely endures the falls and shocks. Another advantage of this smartphone is the hardware QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately, the design also has some drawbacks. The first can be a small display (3.1 inches) with a poor resolution - 640x480 pixels.

Another weak point is not a new version of Android - 4.0. The phone uses a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 8960 processor, also has 8 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot. In addition, you will benefit from two cameras - a 5-megapixel rear and a VGA front one. The smartphone has an installed LTE module, as well as two microphones and earSmart system which produces exceptionally effective elimination of unwanted noise. Unfortunately, I fear that this model never comes to Europe...
