Nokia has not disappeared - now part of the old company focuses on services, including the flagship: HERE Maps. Maps are recently available for Samsung Galaxy Series devices, and now they were made available to all users of Android.
The application is in beta version and it hasn't gone to the official Google Play Store yet. However, you can download it independently, directly from HERE. You will find detailed instructions on the proceedings, unfortunately, only in English. In short, by clicking on the link "Get the app now" we'll download a ready file .apk. Just save it in the selected phone catalogue, and then find it in the file manager and click on the name in order to install. Note - the phone may ask you to unlock the possibility of installing apps from outside sources! Unfortunately, at the time of installation we have to allow it - then you can attach the lock back. And finished, the application lands on our tray. The file is big, more than 30 MB, it is worth using Wi-Fi. The great advantage of the HERE maps is that it can be downloaded to your phone memory, and then use them without the need for exchange of data - eg. abroad. The downside - for now - is the lack of automatic updates of the application and maps - we have to do it manually, at least until HERE officially visit the Google store.
