Qualcomm presented reference devices with Snapdragon 810. The tablet and the smartphone were developed in the Canadian company Intrinsyc and although they will not hit the consumer market, it is worth looking at them a little closer.
These devices are designed for application and accessories developers - in other words, for professionals who want to try out the capabilities of the new system before it goes to the consumer appliances. Both models can also be regarded as a kind of preview of next year's smartphones and tablets, as an indicator of trends.
The smartphone - actually already a phablet - has a 6.2-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Beneath it works, of course, 64-bit, octa-core Snapdragon 810 supported with Adreno 430 graphics and audio system DSP Qualcomm Hexagon V56. To top it all there is memory DDR4 4 GB, and 32 GB of built-in flash media, which can be expanded using a microSD card for another 128 GB.

The device is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with 4K video recording, but Snapdragon 810 can handle up to 55-megapixel cameras. The front camera has 4 megapixels, it is also worth mentioning the eight microphones, which are in this phablet. The equipment also has some interesting additional sensors, eg. humidity sensor. There is also a thermometer, a biometric scanner and the rest of the standard sensors. The battery has a capacity of 3020 mah and can be recharged in an express mode thanks to technology, Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

The tablet has a very similar configuration, it differs primarily with a screen. It has an impressive 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 4K (3840 x 2160 px). It also has more - 64 GB - internal memory, and - of course - a larger battery: 7560 mAh. The tablet costs one thousand dollars and the phablet - 800. Unfortunately, these are devices that will not go to the general public sale... It's a shame, because despite the prohibitive cost, probably they would find many buyers.
