Alcatel does not wait for the IFA and is already publishing information on the new Alcatel U5 HD.
Alcatel U5 HD is a budget phone enclosed in a plastic casing. The device features a 5-inch HD display with IPS technology and a MediaTek MT6737 processor boosted by a modest gigabyte of RAM. The internal memory is just as modest and only holds 8 GB, but it can be expanded with a 32 GB microSD card.
In the photo section we find an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, both capable of interpolating images to respectively 13 and 8 Mpx. Both cameras have LEDs. There is a 2200 mAh battery. Alcatel U5 HD supports LTE Cat. 4, but it also has Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Prices have not been determined yet, but should not be too high.
