Vivo has just unveiled a new smartphone, distinguished by its design, battery, and simultaneous 4K video recording with both front and rear cameras.
This useful feature is enabled by two cameras: a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 32MP f/2.0 front camera. However, the Vivo S2 isn't a photography pro – apart from these, the rear island, which resembles the upcoming iPhone Air 2, only features a 2MP depth sensor.
The resemblance to the iPhone Air is no coincidence – the Vivo S2 also boasts a lightweight and slim design. The white variant of the smartphone is 8.1 mm thick and weighs 199 g, while the blue and brown variants are 7.99 mm thick and weigh 197 g. In reality, the Vivo S2 doesn't stand out particularly in terms of its dimensions compared to the competition, but the central bezel is visually slimmed down by the rounded screen and rear cover. The Vivo S2's display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, a peak brightness of 3000 nits, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its impressive slimness is compensated by a good battery – its capacity is 7050 mAh and can be charged at 44 W.
The Vivo S2's performance is typical for the mid-range price range – its processor is a Mediatek Dimensity 7360 Turbo, accompanied by 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The operating system is Android 16 with OriginOS 6, and IP68 and IP69 certifications confirm full water and dust resistance.

Vivo S2 is currently available for pre-order in India in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White. The 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced at 40,000 rupees (approximately $420, €365), while the 8GB/256GB version is priced at 45,000 rupees ($473, €410).
